Overview:
This position supports all technical aspects of Oracle database installations and Oracle E-Business Applications.
Responsibilities:
Installs, upgrades, and supports all aspects of Oracle database installations: Oracle RDBMS 8i through 11g.
Installs, upgrades, and supports the technical aspects (tech stack) of Oracle E-Business Applications 12.1.3.
Maintains multiple clones of Oracle production systems to support testing, development and future migrations of company global locations.
Monitors Oracle system performance, identifies bottle necks, researches and recommends application patches for improved performance.
Works with other IT managers and staff to identify and apply Oracle patches in support of development, implementations or production system problems.
Responsible for Oracle security patch updates, meets quarterly with other IT managers and staff to determine patches needed, testing and roll-out schedule.
Responsible for maintaining Disaster Recovery instances of Oracle production systems and maintaining/auditing procedures for emergency implementation of the Disaster Recovery plan.
Evaluates, installs, configures, and deploys computer hardware and operating and database management systems software products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise.
Collaborates with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of computer hardware and operating and database management system software programs and applications.
Recommends additional hardware or software requirements needed for successful computer hardware and operating and database management software deployments, configuration, or maintenance.
Ensures that any computer hardware or operating or database management systems software integrations into companys systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
Performs daily monitoring and troubleshooting of computer hardware and operating and database management systems software; installs and configures patches and upgrades as required.
Prepares and delivers activity and progress reports for presentation to the IT Leadership Team and occasionally the Executive Management team.
Liaises with companys computer hardware and operating and database management system software suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies.
Provides direction to the application team in support of application systems operations.
Liaises with network administrators and software engineers to assist with design specifications, program logic, and data conversions.
Assesses and develops long-term strategic goals for operating and database management system software in conjunction with system owners and department managers.
Works with application development staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.
Prepares documentation of standard and emergency procedures required to administer and operate Oracle database and application environments.
Installs and configures relevant network components to ensure operating and database management systems access and consistency and integrity.
Responds to and resolves operating and database management systems software access and performance issues.
Monitors operating and database management performance and implements improvements.
Designs and implements disasters recovery policies and procedures for computer hardware, operating, database management, and application software systems and associated data.
Monitors, optimizes, and allocates physical data storage for database systems.
Plans and coordinates data migrations across systems.
Conducts research and makes recommendations on computer hardware, operating and database management systems products, services, protocols, and standards.
Performs operating and database management systems software security audits.
Establishes appropriate end-user access control levels to operating and database management systems software.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

years experience in supporting and administering the Oracle E-Business Suite.
6
years experience in supporting and administering the Oracle Solaris Unix operating system.
Capable of diagnosing network issues related to Oracle database and application environments.
Capable of supporting and administering Unix/Linux operating systems and hardware environments.
Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
Hands-on operating systems and database tuning and troubleshooting experience.
Expert knowledge of internals of computer hardware, operating and data base management systems software.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrated capability with the use of project management concepts and tools.
Expert ability to write instructions at the machine, operating and data base management systems software level using appropriate programming languages.
Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate ideas using both technical and non-technical language.
Ability to conduct research into technical and application functional issues and products.
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experienced at working in a teaming, collaborative environment.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
