PURPOSE:
Responsible for representing the community in a positive, productive way thus creating a positive first impression while service prospective residents, existing residents, family members, guests, employees, and vendors.
Responsible for answering and directing all incoming inquires and managing all clerical functions of the front desk.
RESIDENT RIGHTS Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.
Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information.
Ensure that you treat all residents fairly, and with kindness, dignity, and respect Ensure that all nursing is provided in privacy Knock before entering the residents room Report all grievances and complaints made by the resident to the Nurse Supervisor and Administrator Report all allegations of resident abuse and/or misappropriation of residents property immediately to the Nurse Supervisor and Administrator Honor the residents refusal of treatments request.

Receive and follow reception schedule/instruction from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
Operate paging/telephone system as required.
Answer telephones; determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department.

Receive inquiries and release information in accordance with established policy and procedures.
Maintain a current file/listing of residents by name and room number, emergency phone numbers of on-call personnel, department extensions, key personnel, etc.
Maintain a current listing of critical residents and/or residents who may not receive phone calls due to their condition.
(May refer such calls to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
) Greet visitors.
Direct to appropriate office and/or residents room.
Give directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, sale representatives, etc.
Offer beverages to visitors waiting for administrative personnel, as appropriate.
Monitor presence and location of sale representatives in the facility.
Issue and collect badges as representatives in the facility.
Ensure guests/visitors abide by existing rules and refuse admission to persons as directed.
Report suspicious persons/information to supervisor immediately.
Assist with administrative duties as directed.
(Including typing, filing, posting, accounts, etc.
) Receive, sort, and distribute mail as directed.
Operate copier, office machines, etc.

Order supplies as directed.
Assist department directors in administrative matters.

) Agree not to disclose assigned user ID code and password for accessing resident/facility information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.

Report any known or suspected unauthorized attempt to access facilitys information system.
Other related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or appropriate.
Report known or suspected incidents of fraud to the Administrator.
Ensure that departmental computer workstations left unattended are properly logged off or the password protected automatic screen-saver activates within established facility policy guidelines.
Attend and participate in in-service educational classes and on-the-job training programs as directed.
Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, etc.

Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.
Attend and participate in facility mandatory in-service training programs as scheduled.
Ensure administrative supplies have been replenished in work areas as necessary.
Use office supplies in an efficient manner to avoid waste.
Request repairs for office equipment as necessary.
Ensure that work/assignment areas are neat, clean, and office equipment is covered before leaving such areas on break, end of workday, etc.
SAFETY AND SANITATION:
Follow all established safety procedures and precautions when operating office equipment.
Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to your supervisor as soon as possible.
Follow established regulations governing the use of labels and MSDS for hazardous chemicals within the department Follow established ergonomics policies and procedures governing lifting techniques, repetitive tasks, and the use of safety equipment and supplies to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses.
Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions to your supervisor immediately.
Other(s) that may become necessary/appropriate to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
Qualifications:
Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
At least one (1) years experience in a clerical position is preferred but not required.
Specific Requirements:
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and the team concept Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public Must be able to follow written and oral instructions Must not pose a threat to the health or safety of their individuals in the workplace Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with other Must be willing to perform tasks that may involve exposure to the blood and/or body fluids Must be willing to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
Must perform all additional tasks assigned to you by supervisor.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
