Off with Pay - week between Christmas and New Years WCA is currently seeking a Head Start Teacher Aide.
If you have experience working with children and/or some education in early childhood, this position might be right for you! The Teacher Aide will assist the Teacher with the daily scheduled activities in the classroom to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the classroom as a safe and healthy learning environment.
Advance the physical and intellectual competence of the children.
Build the positive self-concept and individual strengths in each child.
Organize and sustain the positive functioning of children in a group in a learning environment.
Participate in staff meetings and training as scheduled and maintain a Professional Development Record.
Ensure children are supervised in all program related activities.
Assist the children with self-help skills and/or toileting.
Requirements:
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.
Possess or able to acquire Act 33, 34 and FBI Clearances.
Familiarity or involvement with the Head Start Program.
