Overview:
The technical trainer will provide technical training both internally to Elliott employees as well as externally to our customers. This opportunity is designed to develop and maintain training programs by creating high quality programs that can be used internally and externally. With these packaged programs, Elliott will be able to offer a broader range of training programs to the market as well as better training to our engineers.
Responsibilities:
The technical trainer will be responsible for the update/design of training material.
Training of customers and employees in Elliott products and coordinate the actual customer site training classes.
Acquire and understanding of Elliott organization, product lines, procedures, service facilities, manufacturing facility and methods.
Involved in direct customer interaction- coordinating training programs.
Training of customer personnel at the customer facility and/or the Jeannette factory.
Continually updating the training material for improvements or changes in product lines- presentations and manuals for all Elliott products.
Internally works with Technical Service Engineers to understand their training needs.
Help design new training courses and change existing ones for better impact.
Creates ideas and material which will communicate knowledge while being able to keep the customers attention focused on the actual material.
Determine depth of material coverage for training programs to obtain maximum effectiveness in time given.
Evaluate, justify and order new training equipment to assist in training programs.
Photograph equipment, and parts for classes for training and advertising material.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Required Preferred Mechanical Engineering

years of training or teaching experience
5
Mechanical engineering experience
Experience in creating and developing training materials
Excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication skills to present materials and instigate productive training.
Proficient in the use of MS Office suite
Travel expectations of 25%
and consist of both domestically and international assignments.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
