Overview:
This position was designed to direct and control the planning, processing and scheduling activities related to Elliott parts and product orders. The Production Planner and Scheduler coordinate pre- and post-contract requirements in accordance with customer and Elliott specifications. The general function of the job includes: utilizing existing and new computer assisted systems, establishing schedule priorities, evaluating shop loads, maintaining the optimum level of inventory to satisfy customer requirements, and taking necessary actions to prevent and resolve overload conditions and delays in the manufacturing process.
The Production Planner and Scheduler are also expected to ensure compliance with the Department Operations Manual and all applicable Work Instructions in support of Elliott Safety, Quality and ISO requirements.
Responsibilities:
Create and control production schedules in assigned manufacturing area. Responsible for coordinating all phases of Engineered Products manufacturing orders, taking necessary actions to ensure all requirements and delivery schedules are met. Such actions include administering activities of Bill of Material structure, accumulation of inventory, and tracking of purchased, outsourced and manufactured components.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing all manufactured and purchased customer requirements.
Cyclical inventory analysis and review.
Securing all necessary technical support for component processing.
Identifying and initiating procurement of raw and finished materials for the manufacture of components parts.
Evaluating work center load information.
Calculating delivery estimates to support sales quoting process.
Maintaining accurate data files.
Relieving capacity restraints by developing and implementing corrective actions.
Providing order status to Elliott management, project management, other business units, Sodegaura and customers as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree required, although equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience in a manufacturing environment with strengths in production and inventory control, capacity and materials requirements planning, and production / shop floor activity control. Basic knowledge of fabrication and machining manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and geometric drawings, along with an understanding of design, material and process specifications and how they can affect durations and schedules.
Understanding of standard manufacturing Route Sheet structure, standard hours, durations, lead times, and key metrics such as utilization, efficiency and productivity.
Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning, Project Life Cycle Management and Material Requirement Planning systems.
Experience with multi-level Bill of Material structure is required; knowledge of Elliott product lines is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, along with the ability to influence other departments and disciplines to work together to meet the needs of the customer.
A background in team-oriented environments, a positive attitude, and ability to effect and accept change, a demonstrated ability to make well informed decisions, and a positive perspective regarding the work environment.
APICS certification is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
