Overview:
The Business Systems Analyst will apply knowledge of manufacturing operations functions, processes, and analytical methods and techniques to support day-to-day operations within Elliott.
There are three primary areas of work for this position:
1. The analyst will support end users by responding to issues raised from day-to-day operations.
2. The analyst will manage small initiatives or projects that require a more focused approach with a dedicated amount of effort to complete.
3. The analyst will examine existing business models and flows of data, discuss their findings with the internal customer, and design an appropriate improved IT solution. In short, the analyst acts as the liaison between the client and the developers.
Responsibilities:
Understand and execute to the policies and procedures defined in the Systems Delivery Methodology (SDM).
Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing application systems; and, develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating applications systems across the organization.
Lead and participate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems; and, prepare business cases to aid management in making implementation decisions.
Create systems models, schematics, business process maps, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide documented direction to application system programmers and other stakeholders.
Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, per SDM, to meet quality requirements.
Provide orientation and training to end users.
Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems. Advanced degree or equivalent requisite experience required for Business Systems Analyst III level.
Technical Skills (minimum 5 years of related work experience):
Theoretical and practical knowledge of networks, PCs, Servers, Database Management Systems.
Working knowledge and experience with either Oracle or SAP.
Microsoft desktop operating systems and office applications.
Knowledge and experience with data extract, transformation, and loading (ETL) techniques and programs.
Business Skills (minimum 5 years of related work experience):
Working knowledge and experience in supporting users across key Supply Chain areas such as Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchasing, Scheduling, Projects, and Shop Floor Automation.
Theoretical and practical knowledge in project accounting within an Engineer-to-Order manufacturing environment.
Theoretical and practical knowledge with Data Structures, Business Analytics, and Data Warehousing concepts.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of one or more end-to-end business process.
Experience in overseeing the analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of automated business application software.
Knowledge and experience with sound project management techniques and software tools.
Other Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, in business terms, both in written and verbal form.

Experience working with algorithms and mathematical models.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
